Skispringen: Richard Freitag im Aufgebot zur Skiflug-Heim-WM

Deutschlands Topspringer Richard Freitag kehrt zur Skiflug-WM in Oberstdorf (18. bis 21. Januar) ins Team zurück. Bundestrainer Werner Schuster nominierte den 26-Jährigen knapp zwei Wochen nach dessen Sturz bei der Vierschanzentournee in Innsbruck für das Großereignis in Freitags Wahlheimat.

Die deutschen Skispringer um den Vierschanzentournee-Zweiten Andreas Wellinger haben bei der Generalprobe für die Skiflug-WM in Oberstdorf einen Dämpfer kassiert. In Abwesenheit des angeschlagenen Richard Freitag war der deutsche Rekordhalter Markus Eisenblicher beim Sieg des Norwegers Andreas Stjernen im ersten Weltcup-Fliegen der Saison in Bad Mitterndorf als Zwölfter bester DSV-Adler, Wellinger kam auf Rang 15.

Die kommenden zehn Tage könnten für die Formentwicklung von Stefan Kraft auch im Hinblick auf die Olympischen Spiele entscheidend werden. Österreichs Weltcup-Titelverteidiger möchte auf den Flugschanzen auf dem Kulm und danach bei der WM in Oberstdorf das Gefühl für das Fliegen wieder finden - und auch wieder Konstanz in seine Performance bringen.

Top-Skispringer Richard Freitag verzichtet nach seinem Sturz bei der Vierschanzentournee auf einen Start bei den Skiflug-Wettkämpfen am Wochenende in Bad Mitterndorf und schont sich für die Heim-WM in Oberstdorf (19. bis 21. Januar).

Skispringen: Vierschanzentournee: Kamil Stoch holt den Grand Slam

Kamil Stoch hat am Dreikönigstag ein Stück Vierschanzentournee-Geschichte geschrieben. Der 30-jährige Pole schaffte als erst zweiter Skispringer und 16 Jahre nach Sven Hannawald den Grand Slam. Der Doppel-Olympiasieger gewann beim Finale in Bischofshofen auch den vierten Bewerb der 66. Auflage und entschied die Gesamtwertung wie im Vorjahr souverän für sich.

Skispringen: Kamil Stoch gewinnt auch viertes Springen und schreibt Geschichte

Der Pole Kamil Stoch hat bei der Vierschanzentournee auch das vierte Springen in Bischofshofen gewonnen. Der 30-Jährige ist nach Sven Hannawald erst der zweite Skispringer, dem dieses Kunststück gelang. Stoch konnte damit seinen Gesamtsieg in der Vierschanzentournee aus dem vergangenen Jahr wiederholen.
