Cast your vote for the best catch from college football's Week 4
Each Monday, we’ll gather the best catches from the weekend (or the midweek games) and bring them here for you to vote on in a poll. There could be only a few nominees, or there could be five or six. It all depends on the weekend. If you have a catch you’d like to nominate, don’t hesitate to hit us up on Twitter (@YahooDrSaturday).
The voting remains open until Friday and the winner advances to another round of voting that will help crown the best catch of the regular season.
The favorite won in Week 3. The crazy touchdown catch from Ohio State’s Noah Brown at Oklahoma was the winner of our poll. Brown had four touchdowns in the Buckeyes’ win, but this one, where he pinned the ball against the defensive back and still maintained control to the ground, was one to remember.
Brown’s catch garnered 50 percent of the vote, edging out Virginia Tech’s Isaiah Ford at 41 percent. The voting was rounded out by Penn State’s Mike Gesicki, Miami’s Braxton Berrios and Louisville’s James Quick.

Here are your Week 4 nominees:
Bryce Bobo – Colorado
Colorado’s Bryce Bobo makes our list of nominees for the second time in just four weeks. This time, Bobo hauled in a spectacular one-handed catch to help the Buffs knock off Oregon for the first time since 1998. Bobo’s in-air adjustment — while fighting through tight coverage — and one-handed snag was originally ruled incomplete, but correctly overturned following a review.
Chad Hansen – Cal
For those who don’t stay up super late on Saturday nights for #Pac12AfterDark, you’re missing out on a breakout season from Cal’s Chad Hansen. Hansen, who started his career at Idaho State, leads the nation with 50 catches and is second with 656 receiving yards. Cal lost to Arizona State Saturday night, but Hansen had a great game with 10 catches for 110 yards and a score. Hansen’s first catch of the night was his most impressive. Watch this:
Hansen was tight to the right sideline and had to leap to retrieve the pass from Davis Webb. As he came to the ground, he was able to get one foot inbounds while maintaining possession. Here’s a closer look:
Bug Howard – North Carolina
North Carolina scored twice in the final 5:24 to shock Pitt on Saturday, and senior Bug Howard had the game-winning catch. Howard used his 6-foot-5 frame to bring in a pass from Mitch Trubisky and fought through pass interference in the process. On first glance you may not have noticed, but Howard actually caught the ball with just one arm as he dealt with tight coverage.
This catch was both clutch and extremely difficult.
Jalen Williams – UMass
UMass put a scare into Mississippi State on Saturday at Gillette Stadium by putting up more than 400 yards of offense. The Minutemen briefly led in the third quarter when Andrew Ford found senior Jalen Williams for an acrobatic one-handed touchdown catch.
Williams somehow managed to tip the ball up with his right hand and then establish possession with his left all while spinning through the air. That’s impressive. It was his second touchdown of the day and gave UMass a 21-20 lead, but the Bulldogs were able to fight back and win 47-35.
