Mets rookies dress up in 'A League of Their Own' uniforms
The New York Mets clinched a wild-card spot on Saturday with a 5-3 win against the Phillies. Earlier in the day though, before any potential celebrating could commence, the team put its rookies through the paces with an “A League of their Own” inspired dress up for the bus ride to Citizens Bank Park.

That’s right, if you saw what appeared to be a member of the Rockford Peaches or Racine Belles in Philadelphia on Saturday morning, chances are that person was a Mets rookie.
From left-to-right we have: An unidentified member of the Mets staff, Brandon Nimmo, T.J. Rivera, Ty Kelly, Josh Smoker, Matt Reynolds, Robert Gsellman, Gavin Cecchini and Seth Lugo.

The rookies were also sent on some errands before the game. Those in a Belles uniform were in charge of coffee, while those in a Peaches uniform tracked down donuts.

Based on the photos and videos, everyone seemed to have fun with it. And why not? The uniforms are great, and the movie is even better.
