NHL Three Stars: Hartnell's hat trick; Dubnyk bests Price; Jagr makes history

No. 1 Star: Scott Hartnell, Columbus Blue Jackets

Hartnell scored three goals in his team’s 7-1 drubbing of the Pittsburgh Penguins. With the win, the Blue Jackets now have 48 points – tops in the Metropolitan Division and tied for first in the NHL. Columbus has scored at least seven goals three times this season. The hat trick was Hartnell’s ninth of his career.

No. 2 Star: Devan Dubnyk, Minnesota Wild

Dubnyk got the best of Carey Price in a highly anticipated match-up between the two superstar netminders, stopping 32 of 34 shots on goal as the Wild beat the Canadiens 4-2. Price allowed three goals on 26 shots on goal. Dubnyk is in the middle of a career-high win streak (eight games) and point streak (12 games). He improved to 17-6-3 with a 1.57 goal-against average and .948 save percentage. The Wild tied a franchise record with their ninth straight win.

No 3 Star: Jonathan Drouin, Tampa Bay Lightning

Drouin scored two goals and added an assist to lead his team to a 5-2 win over the St. Louis Blues. The 21-year-old has been heating up this month with 13 points in nine games. The Lightning have won their last two games by the combined score of 9-3.
